FALLBROOK – Donna Woods has been selected as the new principal for Zion Lutheran School in Fallbrook. Woods and the teaching staff have affirmed that academic excellence, relationship building, and serving others will provide the foundation for the school.
Woods said the most exciting element of her and the staff’s new direction is an even larger commitment to serving the local community.
“We earnestly desire to become more involved in Fallbrook, to create partnerships and relationships with our local friends, and especially to teach our students how to share the love of God by serving those around us, “said Woods.
Offering a high-quality Christian education for preschool through eighth grade students, Zion Lutheran School features small class sizes and dedicated, experienced teachers that use innovative and creative teaching methods to reach the ability levels of all students.
The school prides itself on the character development of its students across all grade levels. The Christian faith is taught through weekly worship and daily religion classes by the teachers and Pastor Mark Demel.
“We have a very active student council and a growing after-school sports program,” added Woods. “All students have technology, art, music, and physical education classes. We offer before and after school care, as well as a hot lunch program.”
Zion Lutheran School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the National Lutheran Schools Association.
