A motor home carrying six people caught on fire as the driver exited Interstate 15 southbound onto the Mission Road off ramp yesterday at approximately 2 p.m.
Just prior to exiting the freeway, the driver said he heard some unusual noises and shortly afterward the engine compartment caught on fire.
“None of the occupants of the motor home were harmed,” said John Buchanan, public information officer for North County Fire.
