Fruits of labor

On a sultry July evening, we sat at our patio table enjoying a delicious home grown salad and fresh grilled squash.

We pondered as to why this meal seemed so much better than the store bought variety. It occurred to us that it was due to our hard work and labor of love in our very own backyard garden.

It dawned on us that in deed, an honest day’s work is so much more satisfying than expecting others to provide for you.
