Re: 'Where was Obama on Memorial Day?' [Letter, Village News, 6/10/10]

Dear Jon, I really get a kick reading your response to my letter. You say I am angry, how about you? I have never read such a vitriolic letter. Perhaps you need an anger management class, as you have consumed too much Obama Cool Aid.

No need to teach a history lesson about Memorial Day or any other day. You need to cite ten positive accomplishments since Obama took office. Let me see, maybe I can help you. The Obamacare no one wanted, but got? Maybe the takeover of the auto industry, financial industry, or how about the role Obama played in the Blagojevich circus? “The night before he was elected president, Barack Obama told an emissary to suggest that former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich appoint Mr. Obama’s close friend to fill his U.S. Senate seat, a union leader testified Tuesday in federal court.” – The Wall Street Journal, Wed., June 30, 2010.

So, Jon, you can continue to extol the virtues of your “leaderless leader,” but please no more history lessons. One final thought to you. “When half the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.” – Author unknown.

Jon, in which half do you belong?
