Lawrence 'Larry' L. Frost

Lawrence ‘Larry’ L. Frost, 58, was born July 16, 1952, in Oceanside Calif. A beloved son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and devoted friend, Larry went home to the Lord on Wednesday, July 21, 2010.

A lifelong Fallbrook resident, Larry graduated from Fallbrook High School in 1970, worked at Safeway for 12 years, then was a truck driver hauling equipment, lumber and fuel. He took pride in his work and loved being on the open road and seeing our beautiful country.

His children and family were the light of his life and he took great pride in this. He loved to take his kids on road trips and mountain hikes. A favorite place of his was the beach where he would go for family fun, including teaching his children to body surf, fish and the unique experience of grunion hunting.

Any one who knew Larry knew how much he loved to tell his stories and jokes. He always liked to make everyone laugh and was always helpful to his neighbors and friends lending a hand with anything from car repairs to carrying groceries. He especially loved messing with his friends and playing harmless jokes on them.

His hobbies included fishing, off-roading, cooking, playing cribbage, reading, going to the NHRA drag races, watching westerns, visiting with friends and especially his only granddaughter.

In January, 2008 his granddaughter was born much to his delight. They were each other’s favorite people in the world and he made sure everyone knew what a proud papa he was.

Larry was predeceased by his parents Howard & Winona Frost, and his brother Leslie Frost. He is survived by his daughter Summer (Mike) Brooks, son Jason Frost, granddaughter Alyssa Brooks and sisters Kathy Diamanti, Caroline Salvatierra and Linda Champenois.

To honor Larry, his family asks that you take pride in yourself, your family and your country. Tell lots of jokes and stories to make people smile and enjoy life.

A memorial service and reception will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010, 2 p.m. at Fallbrook Presbyterian Church, 463 S. Stage Coach Lane, Fallbrook, CA 92028.
