More rebates available to SDG&E customers

SAN DIEGO – San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) customers now have even more options when it comes to receiving rebates for energy-efficient appliances. For consumers who are in need of a new appliance and have been hesitant to make a purchase, now is a great time to take advantage of the available rebates.

The Cash for Appliance PLUS program, which lets consumers score rebates for swapping out energy guzzling appliances for more efficient models, has been expanded to include energy-efficient dishwashers, freezers, water heaters and heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

These rebates can be combined with available rebates offered by local utilities such as water companies, including SDG&E’s rebates. In some cases, that means SDG&E customers can save upwards of $130 for a qualifying dishwasher and $780 for a qualifying water heater.

Rebates are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
