BONSALL – Children who want to be a zoo keeper can try this exciting career on for size at Wild Wonders’ Keeper-For-A-Day and Jr. Keeper-For-A-Day programs.
Registration is now open at the Wild Wonder’s Animal Facility in Bonsall where children can spend a day working side-by-side with professional zookeepers.
Throughout the day, they will help care for a selection of the over 120 exotic animals that make their home there. By participating in the daily diet preparation, cleaning, and other animal care tasks, they will gain first-hand experience in animal husbandry, training, enrichment and much more. In this unique, hands-on program, they will discover that it takes dedication and hard work to be a keeper.
Kids ages 8 to 13 will enjoy a day of animal care and education. They will shadow a keeper at the facility and learn about everything that goes into the care of all the animals. The program lasts from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is offered on August 17.
