Barbara Wendt McGuire, "Bobbie"

Barbara Wendt McGuire, “Bobbie,” was born March 26, 1922, passed away August 12, 2010. Was known and treasured by her friends and family. She passed away peacefully at her home in Fallbrook.

Bobbie was born in Los Angeles and graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School. She became a telephone operator and was very proud and loved her job. During WWII she was promoted to supervisor, where she handled Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica areas.

Bobbie married the love of her life, our father, Leo L. McGuire Sr. They moved from Pasadena to Fallbrook in the early 1950’s to grow avocados....
