FALLBROOK – On Friday, August 27, from 5 p.m. to sundown, Fallbrook’s Connections Networking concludes their annual Hot Summer Nites series with the Western BBQ Nite. Formerly the Chili Cook-off, this event has been revamped to celebrate the town’s Western heritage.
Several local restaurants and chefs will serve barbecue, and other refreshments. Snacks will also be available.
This year, Connections is looking for authentic cowboys and cowgirls. Several awards will be presented for the best western outfits - from adults to children - and Stan Kruml will be reciting his cowboy poetry.
Another new feature this year will be classic fire trucks on display, in addition to the beautiful car collections from Fallbrook Vintage Cars and Bonsall Rods & Relics.
ACE Party Rentals will be hosting the children’s area and there will be live music in the Village Square by The NiteRiders where adults can enjoy beer and wine. No dogs, skateboards or bicycles will be allowed.
