CHP to step up motorcycle enforcement in North County

OCEANSIDE – The California Highway Patrol will be once again stepping up motorcycle enforcement throughout North San Diego County this weekend. “Basically what this means is we will be putting extra officers on the road to target unsafe motorcycle riders in our area. We know that not all motorcycle riders are inconsiderate but these highways and county roads are for everyone to use,” said CHP Sergeant Scott Payson, adding “We are also asking the motoring public to please look out for motorcyclists and please remember that motorcycles have living breathing human beings on them, so please drive with caution, they have the same right to be on the highway as you do.” This enforcement is part of a grant funded by the OTS (Office of Traffic Safety) in order to continue to keep the highways safe for all motorists.
