Controlled burn to take place today on Camp Pendleton

CAMP PENDLETON - The Camp Pendleton Fire Department is scheduled to conduct a controlled burn training exercise in the Juliett Training Area today, Sept. 9, beginning at 10 a.m. The purpose of the burn is to remove approximately 30 acres of dry brush and vegetation.

Drifting smoke from the burn can be expected to be seen by Fallbrook area residents.
