VFW ladies collecting used cell phones

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook’s VFW Ladies Auxiliary will be collecting old cell phones until Sept. 24 for its Cell Phones for Soldiers program.

Old cell phones can be dropped off at the VFW Post, located at 1175 Old Stage Road, between noon and 7 p.m. Each cell phone is worth one hour of calling time for our deployed troops and so far 1,270 cell phones have been collected.

The Ladies Auxiliary will also participate in the community recycling program on Sept. 25, to be held at the empty lot along South Mission Road near the Grand Tradition, from 9 a.m. to noon. This will complete the Cell Phone...
