Babysitters should know fire escape options

SAN DIEGO – Cal Fire offers these fire safety tips to babysitters. If a fire starts, they should get everyone out of the house and call the fire department from a neighbor’s telephone. They need to plan ahead and know all fire escape options including routes to get children out of their bedrooms if the front or back doors are blocked by smoke.
