Diabetes Support Group meets Sept. 22

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Diabetes Support Group, sponsored by Fallbrook Hospital, will meet on Wed., Sept. 22 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the dining room of Regency Fallbrook, located at 609 East Elder St.

Druann Andrecht, RDH will present, “The Mouth is the Gateway to Health,” discussing the oral health, cardiovascular and diabetes connection. Studies have shown that there is a two-way connection between oral health and diabetes. By preventing or treating periodontal disease, people with diabetes may achieve better blood glucose control.
