Tire recycling offered Sat. Sept. 25

FALLBROOK - Residents of Fallbrook and the surrounding unincorporated areas in San Diego County can recycle their used passenger and small-truck tires from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sat., Sept. 25 at Fallbrook High School’s Winterhaven parking lot, located at 1050 Winterhaven Road.

Since the state banned the disposal of whole tires at landfills in California in 1993, San Diego County has offered amnesty days and public education for recycling and disposal of tires, funded partially by state grants.
