Formal wear donations appreciated

Thanks to the Village News for including my request for formal wear donations for military spouses in the paper, there was a wonderful response from the kind citizens of Fallbrook. Some very special evening gowns, tuxedoes, and evening wear were donated, and Camp Pendleton spouses will be superbly dressed at the upcoming Marine & Navy Balls.

In addition to the kind donors of Fallbrook and environs, various local groups rallied to the cause, namely the Angel Society, Bonsall Women’s Club, St. John’s, and St. Vincent De Paul’s, who made numerous donations.

The collection for this year’s balls has now ended, but I would humbly ask that if anyone is considering disposing of or donating evening wear from now onwards, please keep these items aside in your closets for the meantime, as I will be starting the collection again, for next year, in May.
