Class teaches kids to have fun and be safe in the kitchen

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Community Center is offering Growing Gourmets Cooking Classes for kids between the ages of 5 and 12.

The “gourmets in training” will learn how to prepare and cook fresh food, follow recipes and the importance of kitchen hygiene and safety. The interactive cooking class encourages kids to work together and lets them experience a hands-on approach to food preparation. This class will help children develop time management skills and learn the importance of nutrition.

Session One classes begin on October 5 and run through October 26 and Session 2 classes start November 9 and run through December 12. All classes are on Tuesdays from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. at Fallbrook Community Center.
