McManigle appointed to Mission RCD board

George McManigle was appointed to the board of the Mission Resource Conservation District.

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 September 14 to ratify the selection of McManigle to fill the vacancy created when Gary Bender resigned from the RCD board. McManigle’s term expires on January 3, 2011.

McManigle is also on the board of the Rainbow Municipal Water District, but because a resource conservation district has no regulatory power he can serve on the board of both public agencies. McManigle hopes that he can leverage his water district activities during his work with the RCD....
