NCFPD adjusts fire prevention fee schedule

The North County Fire Protection District’s August 17 board meeting included the approval of an adjustment to the fire prevention fees which cover staff time and other fire district costs for plan checks and other services.

The new fees will become effective October 16. They are based on the hourly average personnel and administrative cost for review, data entry, and travel time.

“It’s based on our actual costs to perform our plan review,” said North County Fire Protection District chief Bill Metcalf. “As our costs change, we make adjustments.”
