Locals can become part of the solution

I am Cliff Sumrall, coordinator of the Fallbrook Tea Party Movement. The movement understands that we are not in sync with our government and it is not in sync with us. The Lincoln concept of government “of and by the people” has casually been set aside.

Deficit spending puts our grandchildren in debt. If you deposited one million dollars a day in the bank at the birth of Christ and continued to this day, you would not be at one trillion. We are looking at 100 trillion in debt. The State of Arizona is being overrun by drug lords and violence and 70 percent of the folks in that state are saying they approve their new immigration law. The federal government, which is not doing its job, is suing the state.

Six months ago, I announced the beginning of the Fallbrook Tea Party Movement. We now have 300+ members. We stand for less government, lower taxes and responsible spending. What we are doing is the beginning of taking back our government. There are now 180 Tea Party groups in California that share our views and we are coming together to take action. The Tea Party Movement is part of the solution to the government’s aloofness to its people.
