Life Coach - Wisdom from the Proverbs

“The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands.”

-- Proverbs 14:1

Before we start to build we need to decide what the house that we want to live in will look like; and what will and will not be in the house. Once we decide what to put in the house, we can start building it.

Each day we have a choice. With wisdom we can choose to build a structure that we want to live in. On the other hand, we can pull down our house in foolishness.

With wisdom, we may add a brick in a wall, a window, or a door. Perhaps the part of the home that is added today will be comfort. What brings comfort? Comfort includes an atmosphere of love and acceptance for all who enter that house. Peace is another important aspect for comfort.

What else do I want in the house where I live? Warmth, light, fun, joy, creativity – we get to choose. A wise woman builds her house daily.

What door shall I add today? A door that opens wide to all, and at the same time says this door provides security? A house should be a safe place where those who enter seeking rest.

Perhaps today I’ll add a door that opens onto a garden, full of color, growth, and life. We get to choose daily, so add carefully because this is the house where you will live.
