Farm Tour Day slated for Sat. Oct. 16

ESCONDIDO – Get a close-up look at what San Diego County agriculture is all about from the people who know it best: San Diego farmers. On Saturday Oct. 16, eight local growers will open their farms to the public for guided walking tours coordinated by the San Diego County Farm Bureau.

Tours will be conducted at each farming operation every half hour between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. so that visitors can chart their own course and choose which farms, and in which order, they would like to visit.
