Charles Edward Barnes

Charles Edward Barnes, 79, son of the late Lillian Belle Headley Barnes and the late Joseph P. Barnes, died Sept. 12, 2010 in Matthews, Ga. He was a former Fallbrook resident of 20 years.

Mr. Barnes proudly served his country during the Korean and Vietnam wars, retiring after 26 years of service as a Master Sergeant. He traveled the world but decided to retire in Georgia, his “home state,” where he enjoyed tranquil, country life and reading all types of books.
