Urquhart wins heat and main event

Not only did Brad Urquhart win his October 9 heat race at Barona Speedway, but he also won that night’s Pure Stocks main event for his first-ever main event win in only his ninth career race.

“It doesn’t get any better than a sweep of the heat race and the main event,” Urquhart said.

Urquhart began the eight-lap heat race on the inside of the second row. He moved into second on the third lap and made a pass on the inside to take the lead on the fifth lap.
