Do fire evacuees with horses remember Vessels Ranch?

This is a message to the 100-plus evacuees that escaped the wildfires of 2007 to the Vessels Ranch:

It is now time for you to step up to the plate and express your opinion regarding the SR76 project. In most all of the letters to the editor, the Vessels Ranch has been described as “undeveloped land.” As you and most others know, the land has been developed for over 150 years for its intended use. During the 2007 fires, there were over 350 horses that were evacuated to Vessels. Over 100 human refugees stayed with their animals for almost a week. The Vessels opened up their ranch, free of charge...
