Bill Shea, 77, passed away Oct. 12, 2010. Bill was born in Milwaukee, Wis. on Jan. 10, 1933. He attended Mt. Carmel High School and graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara in 1955.
Bill married Peggy Brands in 1960. He began his teaching career in 1957 and moved to Fallbrook in 1969 to teach at Fallbrook High School. He taught math and coached baseball, golf, and football for the Fallbrook Warriors. He also taught math at Palomar Community College from 1986 until 2006. Bill and Peggy moved to Temecula in 2004.
Bill is survived by his wife Peggy; sons, Rich, Rob, and Billy; daughters-in-law, Anita, Trish and Samantha; brothers, Tom and Joe; and sister, Kathleen Sullivan. The pride of his family is his five grandchildren: Spencer, 12; Aaron, 12; Alivia, 10; Kyle, 9; and Kaden, 7.
During his 50 years of teaching, Bill touched many lives and was certainly a positive influence to all those who had the pleasure to meet him. ‘Buzzsaw’ was a shining light on this earth and he will be missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at Wilson Creek Winery on Nov. 7, 2010, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to FUHS directed to the golf team.
