Magnitude 3.8 quake rumbles through Coachella Valley - Quakes shake Riverside and San Diego counties

LA QUINTA - A magnitude-3.8 earthquake rumbled through the Coachella Valley late today, but there were no reports of damage or injuries.

The quake, centered about 21 miles southwest of La Quinta, was recorded at 4:56 p.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The shaker was recorded about 10 miles north of Borrego Springs, and could be felt as far away as San Diego.
