Joe Louis Vivalda

Joe Louis Vivalda of Fallbrook, Calif. died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at the age of 86. Joe was born in Kentucky on June 13, 1924 to Alfred and Fairy Vivalda. The family moved from Kentucky to California where he remained and eventually settled in Fallbrook for the last 40 years.

One of Joe’s fondest memories was playing professional baseball in the Pacific Coast League. He was a right-handed sinkerball pitcher who never played organized baseball prior to being scouted and signed.

Joe also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, cooking and playing card games with his sisters. Joe was a life long member of the Mason’s and a member of the Al

Malika Shriners.

Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marlyn. He is survived by his sisters Lena Fuller and Dorothy Gatej along with 10 nieces and nephews.

Viewing and a short memorial service to be held at Fallbrook Mortuary on Monday, Nov. 29 at 11:30 a.m. Burial services will immediately follow.
