Fallbrook’s Pop Warner Jr. Midget Warriors have won the western region championship, Wescon, and are now raising funds to compete for the state championship in December.
The Warriors played the Jurupa Mammoths on Nov. 13, and beat them with a resounding score of 32-6.
“It was a good game for us,” said Jeff Meyer, Pop Warner coach. “It was an offensive game, even though we have been a very defensive-minded team in this season.”
The Warriors had a 30-0 lead on the Mammoths by halftime, and were essentially handed the Wescon championship.
