A single-engine plane crashed Thursday morning after the pilot overshot the runway.
According to Bo Donovan, the Fallbrook airpark manager, the plane had come in from Henderson, Nevada, close to Las Vegas at approximately 10:35 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning.
“[The pilot] just landed long and had a bit of a tail wind,” said Donovan. “He landed on the 1-8, but he should have on 3-6 runway. He landed nearly into color spot.”
Donovan stated that the plane had two flat tires from skidding, and had its prop strike the ground when the plane sunk into the soft ground.”
