Fallbrook's Seymour joins others hop-scotching nation in experimental aircraft adventure

A pair of experimental aircraft pilots recently etched their mark in local aviation history when they crisscrossed the country in a 7,300-mile journey that took 4½ weeks to complete.

The roundabout route taken by Les Seymour of Fallbrook and Wayne Flemington of Winchester led the duo to an international air show, over the Rocky Mountains and above Yellowstone National Park. It took them over Chesapeake Bay, around the Statue of Liberty twice, and above the spiny skeleton of the George Washington Bridge.
