All members of the Fallbrook Senior Center are requested to attend the next General Meeting on December 14, 2010 at 10 a.m. to review a recently approved motion to remove the Board of Directors. The motion was tabled due to two persons insisting that all the members should be made aware of this action by the members in general.
The motion will be taken from the table for further discussion and a revote.
The motion was not predicated upon the termination of Irene Flores and this fact was made very clear. The motion was made because of recent questionable changes to the organization’s by-laws and policies without the approval of the membership, and that since there appears to be discrepancies of the financial status, it appears the board may have failed to do its fiduciary duties for the past two years.
In my opinion, the problems with this board not responding to the wishes of the General Membership has been going on for a long period of time and that was the reason the membership had ordered a special meeting on November 16, 2010 to resolve these issues. That meeting was ordered by the membership well before the termination of Mrs. Flores.
All members wishing to address these issues should attend the next General Meeting and make their views known and vote in approval or opposition.
