Dear people of Fallbrook,
I have been amused at the recent backlash regarding the Village News article on unleashed dogs in the parks and trails.
Growing up hiking the trails along the Santa Margarita my whole life, I am familiar with the problems of late with not so much the animals, pets, four-legged family members, whatever, rather their owners.
As my Pop used to say, “I’ve been bit plenty by friendly dogs.” In fact, I personally have been bitten three times on the Santa Margarita Trail by dogs introduced to me as ‘friendly.’
