VanderLans wins bulldogging at Industry

Jack VanderLans won the Steer Wrestling competition at the Industry Hills Charity Pro Rodeo.

The 2001 Fallbrook High School graduate had a time of 5.5 seconds at the October 9-10 rodeo in Industry to win the first-place prize money of $1,570.

"It was great. I've been to that rodeo quite a few times and I've always wanted to win it," VanderLans said. "Fortunately everything worked in my favor. I drew a good steer."

Flying U Rodeo was the stock contractor at Industry. The Flying U steers were also used at the San Juan Capistrano rodeo.
