Baylis Morse McDonald, Jr.

Fallbrook pioneer Baylis Morse McDonald, Jr., passed away at his home on December 5, 2010 at the age of 83. Morse was the eldest of four sons of Fallbrook Pioneers Baylis and Opal McDonald. Morse was born on March 28, 1927.

The McDonald family was at once thoroughly occupied in the establishment and hard work of operating a large avocado nursery business that soon produced fifty to sixty thousand trees each year. The B.M. McDonald nursery grew from 1926 to 1958 as avocado acreage in the area continued to increase.
