Fallbrook couple successfully completes Ironman competition in Cozumel

Love can take you on a journey, but traveling to Mexico to swim, bike and run nearly 140 miles in a day may seem like a stretch for most. However, for Charley and Lacey McAvoy, the Ironman competition in Cozumel, Mexico, was a way to build endurance, show stamina and support each other.

As a way to commemorate Charley’s 30th birthday, the couple agreed to participate in an Ironman competition over the Thanksgiving holiday. As a personal trainer at Fallbrook’s Club Paradise, he had plenty of moral and financial support from friends and clients.
