Planning Commission approves 14-lot subdivision

The county’s Planning Commission approved a tentative subdivision map for a 31.9-acre parcel west of De Luz Road and north of Shady Lane.

The Planning Commission’s 6-0 vote Dec. 17, with Michael Beck absent, approves the map to subdivide the property into 14 residential lots ranging from 1.01 to 7.22 acres. Although the property’s A70 limited agricultural zoning requires two-acre minimum lot sizes, lot area averaging was used and 11.83 on-site acres will be designated as an open space easement. “It’s been a long, expensive time coming,” said property owner Charles Baldwin. “It’s been painful.”...
