FALLBROOK – The public is welcome to attend the next general meeting of the Fallbrook Art Association. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 10, at the Fallbrook Public Utilities Department (FPUD) building, 990 E. Mission Road. Bernard V. Fallon will be the featured artist and painting demonstrator.
Preceding the meeting and demonstration, there will be an informal critique session from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Artists are invited to bring one or two works that are in progress in any media and will receive input to improve their work from Fallon.
Fallon was born in Liverpool, England, and was educated at the Liverpool College of Art. His current works include landscapes, marine scenes, and still life paintings in both oil and pastel. He is a member of the California Art Club, a founder member of the Pastel Society of Southern California, and a published photographer.
Fallon will be conducting a workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, at FPUD. Call (951) 698-7990 for cost, more information or to register for the workshop.
Members of the Fallbrook Art Association Board of Directors and Committee Chairpersons will be showing their artwork at the Brandon Gallery during the month of January. The art will be exhibited in Studio 105, formerly the Etc Gallery. Works in watercolor, acrylic, oil, collage, pastel, and mixed media will be on display. The Brandon Gallery is located at 105 N. Main Ave. and is open on Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The gallery is closed on Monday.
