FALLBROOK –Lilah Kennedy, 9, sells homemade dog and cat treats to earn money for the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary. The fourth grade student from Iowa Street School’s five-day home-instruction program developed the idea to help animals at the sanctuary where she volunteers each week.
Lilah has sold her Friendship Fritters, which she bakes and packages with the help of her sister and mother, at local fundraising events and outside Major Market. She plans to continue with the project of making holiday treats for pets this Easter and Fourth of July. All proceeds go to the local animal sanctuar...
