BONSALL – On Dec. 11, the Bonsall Education Foundation (BEF) teamed up with the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary (FAS) to make their Holiday Bazaar a special event for families and pets.
Photojournalist Kathryn Chandler donated her time and talents to photograph families and pets with Santa to help raise much needed funds for the animals at the sanctuary.
“It was a great turnout for the Santa photos,” said Gigi Eckels, FAS volunteer coordinator. Twenty-six families photographed with Santa donated a total of $550 to FAS while other FAS volunteers chatted with families about specific pets ready for adoption.
“Photos were a great way to help raise money and we need every penny we can get to take care of these pets waiting to be adopted,” Eckels added.
Erica Perko, BEF president and Holiday Bazaar organizer said, “BEF was honored to partner with such an amazing organization as the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary. The FAS brought an element of holiday cheer and pure goodwill that shaped the atmosphere of our event. Their passion for placing animals in loving homes is inspiring.”
