The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 December 8 to approve the first reading and ordinance introduction for changes to the county’s Zoning Ordinance and County Code.
A second reading and adoption is scheduled for January 12, and if the county supervisors approve that adoption the changes will take effect February 11.
Most of the changes were updates and clarifications. “We do periodic cleanups to the Zoning Ordinance,” said county Department of Planning and Land Use deputy director Jeff Murphy. “It’s a matter of finding issues.”
