Why do my values, without believing in God, scare you?

I am an atheist and I consider myself a reasonable man. Believers in God are frustrated by atheists repudiation of the ‘carrot and stick of religion’ being necessary to convince people to be good because it questions their faith.

In order to have belief in God you must set aside reason and depend only on faith. Religion was invented as a means to subjugate people and explain the unknown. Of course the “principals of the Faith” have to be constantly updated in order to remain relevant. Claiming “bad behavior isn’t religion’s fault, but rather the fault of believers who do not follow God’s will”...
