Fallbrook Hospital recognizes honorary medical staff member

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Hospital recently recognized Dan Andrus, M.D., Family Practice with the distinguished title of Honorary Medical Staff Member.

Andrus, a physician with Rancho Family Medical Group, was a member of the medical staff at Fallbrook Hospital for over 30 years before his retirement in February 2010. He was nominated by his peers based on established criteria and received a unanimous vote of approval by the medical executive committee and Board of Trustees.

The criteria includes having practiced at the hospital for a minimum of 10 years; maintaining a caring attitude towards colleagues, staff, patients, community; and showing excellence in clinical specialty. In addition, “Honorary” members need to be in good standing at the time of retirement and have made significant contributions to the administrative work of the medical staff.
