The Bustin’ Out Barrel Race was sanctioned by the National Barrel Horse Association. Delia rode Smart Little Hobby, Destri rode Interstate Forty (also known as Blue), and Macy rode Last Woody Lady (also called Fortune) and Boss M Kernal.

The Jan. 1 Open 5D race saw Delia post a time of 17.633 seconds to win the 2D bracket and $1,038. Macy was third in the 2D with a time of 17.644 seconds and won $649.

Macy rode Fortune for the Youth 4D races. Her Dec. 31 time of 18.230 seconds placed second in the 2D and won $99. Her run of 17.644 seconds Jan. 1 took second place in the 1D and earned $123, and her 17.632-second performance Jan. 2 placed second in the 1D and paid $98 (jackpot amounts are based in part on the number of competitors).

The Bustin’ Out Barrel Race was held at the South Buckeye Equestrian and Event Center arena.
