Clarifying the organizations that serve local seniors

The Foundation for Senior Care is a non-profit (501©3) corporation that provides three core services to the senior and disabled population of Fallbrook, Bonsall, Rainbow and De Luz. Our free services are the Care Van and our Senior Care Advocacy programs. We also offer a senior/adult day program that provides a secure, recreational day program designed for seniors and adults that need additional help for a minimal fee. To find out more information about our programs call us at (760) 723-7570.

There are three separate entities all caring for the health of our community.

The Fallbrook Healthcare District is committed to: ensuring the highest quality health of community residents; continuing services provided by Fallbrook Hospital; and managing Healthcare District assets. They are directly funded by the district’s

tax revenues.

The Fallbrook Senior Center on Heald Lane is largely funded by the County of San Diego.

The Foundation for Senior Care, located at 135 S. Mission Rd., is dependent on generous donations from our community that allow us to care for the senior who has no family nearby, no resources, and is dependent on others.

One of our Care Van riders, Ivalou, commented recently, “I will be eternally grateful for the services of the Care Van. I don’t know what we seniors would do without it.”

Thank you for allowing me to help clarify the differences between these three wonderful services in our Fallbrook community.
