Warrior water polo girls beat Sundevils, Nighthawks to start 2011

Fallbrook High School’s girls water polo team returned from Winter break with wins January 5 at Mount Carmel and Jan. 8 at Del Norte.

The win over Mount Carmel was by a 6-5 score, and the 21-1 victory against Del Norte gave the Warriors an 8-2 record for the first ten games of the 2010-11 season.

Hunter Bowman scored the winning goal against Mount Carmel with seven seconds left and also had a field block on the final Mount Carmel shot which closed out the game. “That was very exciting,” said Fallbrook coach Bob Lamont.
