Brown family returns to Rose Parade

After sitting out the 2010 Tournament of Roses Parade, Rainbow’s Brown family returned to Pasadena for the 2011 Rose Parade and associated activities.

Colleen Brown and her daughter, Lori Smith, rode with the Spirit of the West Riders equestrian unit during the 5 1/2-mile New Year’s Day parade. A hand injury kept Jerry Brown, Lori’s father and Colleen’s husband, from riding in the parade, although he drove the recreational vehicle which also hauled the horse trailer. Lori’s husband, Patrick Smith, was also present in a non-riding capacity.
