Longtime Fallbrook resident Edwin Shobe died suddenly at home on Dec. 6, 2010.
Born in Kansas on July 13, 1949, he moved to California in 1962, where he met his wife of 42 years, Patricia.
Edwin relocated to Fallbrook 30 years ago, for a better life for his family, and established Ed Shobe Plumbing the same year. His customers quickly became longtime friends.
Edwin enjoyed being an active member of the Fallbrook community over the years through work, church, and volunteerism.
He leaves behind a loving wife, his “soul mate,” Patricia, and three children, Craig Shobe of Fallbrook, Brian Shobe of Cardiff, Erin (Travis) Walker of Fallbrook, and five grandchildren with the sixth due in April.
A celebration of his life will be held on Feb. 5 as an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1616 Acacia Lane. Anyone touched by Edwin’s life is welcome.
His warm smile and big heart will be missed.
