National watercolors come to Fallbrook Art Center

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Art Center (FAC) is proud to present World of Watercolor, a national watercolor exhibition of over 80 contemporary and historical water media works. The exhibition is open daily Feb. 6 through March 27.

World of Watercolor is a dual presentation featuring the second annual Signature American Watercolor Exhibition, in conjunction with Renowned California Style Regionalists from 1920-2000 provided by

The best of old and new – this show offers a rare chance to see current works by 60 of the nation’s top watercolor artists joined by renowned regionalists including Phil Dike, Emil Kosa, Jr., Millard Sheets and more. The paintings presented include a wide range of directions and techniques, from experimental to traditional.

“Watercolor is a very popular medium in Southern California, and I’m thrilled to present truly the best of old and new,” said Mary Perhacs, executive director. “There will be over 80 works in the show with a wide range of subject matter, technique, and style. Most of the historic regionalist works are only shown at museums, so this is a great opportunity.”

All the contemporary works are offered for sale as well as the historically important pieces from the 1920’s through the 1990’s. Certified giclee prints of the historical works are offered courtesy of

This marks the 15th year of the Fallbrook Art Center, a division of Fallbrook Arts Inc., a nonprofit corporation. The Center presents seven to 10 shows annually. For more information, visit
