Ill hiker near Crazy Horse Canyon Drive airlifted

AGUANGA - A hiker who became ill near Crazy Horse Canyon Drive was rescued and airlifted to a hospital today, a county fire spokeswoman said.

The hiker was reported ill around noon in a remote area near the Riverside-San Diego County border.

A San Diego County helicopter airlifted the hiker to a safe zone, where a Mercy Air helicopter took him to a hospital in moderate-to-serious condition, said Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department....
